THE CHALLENGE
Monaco di Baviera Lite is the little sister of the already legendary ultracycling challenge Monaco di Baviera Classic. Monaco di Baviera Lite — the shortest path to glory.

ROUTE HIGHLIGHTS
Start from Munich

The journey begins in Munich, Bavaria’s vibrant capital. The city releases you into the adventure through the beautiful and peaceful Bavarian roads.
Reschenpass
At the frontier of Austria and Italy, the Reschen Pass unveils the surreal sight of a lone church tower rising from the turquoise waters of Lake Resia. This gateway to the South Tyrol feels like riding into a legend, where high alpine winds carry you across borders and into the mountains’ embrace.

Passo Stelvio via Umbrailpass
The mighty Stelvio, approached through Switzerland’s highest paved road, the Umbrailpass, is cycling’s cathedral. Its endless switchbacks climb into thin air, rewarding every pedal stroke with views that stretch beyond nations—a summit where legends are made and riders become part of history.

Passo delle Erbe
Hidden in the Dolomites’ quiet heart, the Passo delle Erbe rises through meadows and forests until it reveals the towering cliffs of the Sass de Putia. It is a road of pure alpine poetry—serpentine, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful—an untamed jewel far from the crowds.

Passo Furcia

The Furcia may be shorter, but it is fierce—a sharp link between valleys at the foot of the mighty Kronplatz. Here, shaded forests suddenly break open to reveal Dolomite giants, reminding every rider that even the “small” climbs in this land carry an epic weight.
Großglockner

No road embodies the grandeur of the Alps like the Grossglockner. Rising through a world of glaciers and jagged summits, it pushes to the Hochtor pass before daring you up the cobbled spur to Edelweißspitze. At 2,571 meters, surrounded by thirty towering peaks, the panorama is nothing less than the throne of the high mountains.
Finish in Munich

After days of struggle and triumph, the circle closes where it began—Munich. Rolling back, the city feels transformed: no longer just a starting point, but the stage for a victorious return, best sealed with a well-earned stein.
