ROUTE HIGHLIGHTS
Start from Munich

From the Bavarian capital, where rivers and history intertwine, the odyssey begins. Munich releases riders into the open road, only to await their glorious return—a city that will feel transformed once its challengers come back from such a legendary adventure.
EP1: Eng Alm

Hidden deep in the Karwendel mountains, the Eng Alm is a pastoral dream turned epic backdrop: a high alpine valley lined with ancient sycamore maples and ringed by sheer limestone walls. Riding here feels like entering a secret kingdom of timeless beauty, a serene pause before the brutality of the great passes to come.
Those who conquer Eng Alm will earn 12 Explorer Points.
Reschenpass

Crossing into South Tyrol, the Reschen Pass greets riders with the haunting sight of a church tower rising from Lake Resia’s turquoise waters. It is both a gateway and a symbol: the passage into a world of high mountains and unrelenting beauty.
Passo dello Stelvio
The Stelvio is cycling’s Everest. With 48 hairpins on its northern face and a summit at 2,757 meters, this climb is a pilgrimage of pain and glory. Each switchback writes another line in a saga that every cyclist dreams of etching into their legs.

Sentiero Valtellina
The route covers more than 400 Km of the best paved bike paths. The Sentiero Valtellina segment, connecting Bormio with the start of Mortirolo along the Adda river ist just amazing.

Passo del Mortirolo
Feared and revered, the Mortirolo is a wall of relentless gradients hidden in dark forests. This is where the great battles of the Giro d’Italia were forged, where legends cracked and others rose, and where suffering becomes eternal memory.

EP2 Passo Gavia
From alpine meadows to icy glaciers, the Gavia is raw, remote, and wild. Its summit feels like the edge of the world, where snowfields linger and storms can appear in an instant—an ascent that tests both strength and soul.
Those who conquer Gavia will earn 14 Explorer Points.

Ciclabile Valsugana

Another beautiful bike line from Pergine until Borgo Valsugana to warm up for the Dolomites.
Passo Manghen
Narrow, steep, and utterly untamed, the Manghen feels more like a hidden path than a road. Its twisting ramps lead into the deep heart of the Trentino wilderness, a climb that punishes mercilessly but rewards with silence and solitude.

Ciclabile Val di Fiemme e Fassa

38 km of marked bike line between Molina de Fiemme and Fontanazzo. One of our favourites!
Passo Sella & Passo Gardena
The Dolomites reveal their grandeur at the Sella, where vertical cliffs of pale rock rise above lush meadows. Each turn offers a postcard of alpine majesty, a reminder why this land is a UNESCO treasure. Just after, flowing curves and vast horizons make the Gardena a jewel of the Dolomite crown. It is less savage, more lyrical—a passage carved for those who love to fly between summits in the shadow of cathedral-like peaks.

EP3 Passo Pordoi
The Pordoi is pure cycling mythology. At its summit stands a monument to Fausto Coppi, Il Campionissimo, and every rider who ever dared to defy gravity. To crest here is to touch the very soul of the sport.
Conquer it and you will earn 7 explorer points.

EP4 Passo Valparola
Twin climbs that unravel like a saga: the Falzarego climbing through tunnels of rock, then Valparola lifting you into a high, windswept world. Together, they embody the Dolomites’ raw drama and eternal allure.
Those who climb until the top will ern 10 explorer points.

EP5 Passo Fedaia

Steep, savage, and dominated by the Marmolada glacier, the Fedaia is one of the hardest climbs in Italy. Its endless straight ramps strip riders bare, leaving only willpower to carry them to the dam and the silence of the high lake.
Without any doubt, 11 Explorer Points well earned.
Passo Giau

A road of perfection: hairpins stacked one after another into the sky, with views so staggering they seem unreal. The Giau is beauty and brutality combined—the Dolomites at their most sublime.
EP6 Lago di Misurina

Nestled among forests and peaks, the shimmering waters of Misurina are a moment of serenity amid chaos. Reflection and respite here feel almost sacred, before the road tilts skyward again toward the giants.
10 Explorer Points that will taste like glory.
EP7 Tre Cime

Few roads strike fear like this one: short, brutal, and ending beneath the jagged towers of the Tre Cime. The final ramps touch gradients near 20%, but at the summit lies one of cycling’s most awe-inspiring finishes.
7 Explorer Points well earned indeed.
EP8 Monte Zoncolan

The beast of Friuli. With slopes that rise cruelly above 20%, the Zoncolan is one of the most brutal climbs in the world. To scale it is to stare into the abyss of suffering—and to emerge as something more than a rider.
Those who survive this will add 13 Explorer Points.
Alpe Adria Radweg

The Alpe Adria Radweg is not just a bike line but an astonishing experience as you will ride through tons of bridges and tunnels which makes it feel like you were in a theme park.
EP9 Edelweißspitze

Austria’s crown jewel rises into a kingdom of glaciers and jagged summits. The Grossglockner’s mighty Hochtor leads to the cobbled ramp of the Edelweißspitze, a 360° throne above the Alps, where the sky feels within reach.
The cobbled peak worths 3 Explorer Points.
EP10 Kitzbüheler Horn

Here is where heroes fall and legends rise. The final trial is a monster: brutally steep, unrelenting, and infamous. The Kitzbüheler Horn is the last gate of fire—conquer it, and you will earn the last 13 Explorer Points to become a new Monaco di Baviera Classic legend.
Finish in Munich

Back in Munich, the circle is complete. After mountains and borders, the city greets you as a conqueror—ready to celebrate the Classic with Bavarian cheer and a hero’s return. Watch out: you might not be the same person anymore.
